This Cookie Policy explains how cookies and similar technologies are used on the SmartGroove marketing site (smartgroove.app) and account portal (app.smartgroove.app). It supplements our Privacy Policy.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. They let a website remember information about your visit between pages and visits — for example, that you've signed in, or that you've toggled a billing-interval preference. Similar technologies include local storage and session storage.
2. Cookies We Use
2.1 Strictly necessary
The account portal uses session cookies to authenticate you after sign-in and to keep your session active across pages. These cookies are required for sign-in to work; you cannot opt out and still use the portal.
2.2 Functional
The marketing site uses local storage to remember UI preferences such as the monthly/annual billing-interval toggle on the Pricing page. These are optional — the site works without them; your preference simply won't persist between visits.
2.3 Analytics
SmartGroove does not currently use third-party analytics. If we add privacy-preserving analytics in the future (for example Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies, or Plausible, which uses anonymous aggregated data), we will update this Cookie Policy at least thirty (30) days before deployment.
2.4 Advertising
SmartGroove does not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or any cross-site tracking. We do not sell user data to advertisers.
3. Third-Party Cookies
- LemonSqueezy sets cookies during the hosted-checkout flow to maintain your checkout session and to support fraud prevention. These cookies are governed by LemonSqueezy's own privacy and cookie policies, which apply during checkout on smartgroove.lemonsqueezy.com.
- Supabase sets session cookies in the account portal after sign-in (see §2.1 above).
We do not embed Facebook, Google, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, or any other social-media tracking pixels on our sites.
4. Managing Cookies
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies from settings. Blocking strictly-necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in to the account portal. All major browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) expose cookie controls under their privacy or security settings.
5. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy at any time, in our sole discretion, without prior notice. The current version is the one published at smartgroove.app/legal/cookies, and the "Effective" date at the top of this document indicates when it last changed.
